RHS Show Tatton Park, 2012

Following on from last year's gold-medal-winning stand, we decided to enter a similar arrangement this year. This must have been the right decision as the judges awarded us our 4th Gold medal , following those in 2008, 2009 and 2011. The stand design featured 3 tokonomas, as well as a number of trees displayed individually.

A tokonoma is an alcove in a Japanese home in which they will display a bonsai for special occasions. These displays portray a scene from nature; an accent plant and a painted scroll are used to suggest the landscape surrounding the bonsai and the season being depicted.

Our stand featured a number of native British species including an oak, a hawthorn a larch and a scots pine. We won a gold medal for the stand, which we are very proud of.
